Rules of The Zvonimir Choir
In the midst of the struggle for political and cultural autonomy, gathering together to compose, play music and particularly to sing in the choir, represented a suitable and favourite new form of civic socialization. The Zvonimir Choir was founded and regulated by its statute in the spring of 1884. In accordance with its first community rules, the purpose of the Zvonimir Choir was ‘’to nurture music, especially folklore, by singing’’.
