Ceramic artefacts
Fragments of pottery take the most significant place among the artefacts from the Basements of Diocletian’s Palace (1968-74), not just in terms of quantity, but also of quality. The discovered fragments served to reconstruct some hundred vessels, a great part of which take a significant place in the showcases displayed before us, being an exceptionally illustrative material within the setting of the history of urban everyday life, comprising the period from the forming of the city in the Middle Ages, through all the phases of its turbulent life, right up until present.
