Collection of textile and fashion accessories

Clothing and fashion have always been an important segment of life for Split’s women which also confirm the items exhibited in the showcase from the permanent exhibition of the Museum of the City of Split. This ceremonial, hand-sewn dress came from the Filleg – Storio shop in Graz. It consists of two parts: the upper part with a corset and a high neckline shape and highlight the female figure, while the skirt falls freely. The parasol became a very popular fashion accessory in the 19th century, without which no self-respecting lady would dare appear in public.
