A set of calibration weights

All measuring devices in Dalmatia were supervised and calibrated by justarii (it.), and the calibration procedure is well described in the Statute of Split from 1312. It states that measuring supervisors must check, examine and compare measures with the municipal measures, or weights and mark them according to law. An important part of the calibration procedure was exactly this marking.
