Boxes for grease
Boxes for grease – oiled fabric containers – were used for containing cloths for the lubrication of firearms. In some parts of Croatia, an old Chakavian word is used: tučnica (tuk - oil) and ujnica. They were smaller in size, quadrangle or cylinder form, and made of brass. They were simply decorated with an engraved or repoussé ornament with tassels hanging from the lower part.
