Karabela sabre
The karabela sabre is of Turkish origin, but it became so widely used in this region that it was identified as one of three types of characteristic local weapons in the 17th century, along with schiavona swords and hussar sabers. In Poland it became a type of national weapon, so popular that under the name karabela it gained a reputation of being an original Polish sabre which remained in use as an aristocratic sabre up until the end of the 19th century.
