Misericordia
The Misericordia (Gnadendolch) is a type of artillery dagger used for thrusting or killing heavily wounded soldiers. It was actually a miniature sword that consists of a double-, triple- or quadruple-edged blade with a symetrically positioned hilt and a cross-guard that sometimes had a parrying ring. The blade tip was strong enough to pierce through the plates of a suit of armor.
