Corseque
The corseque or runka originated from a peasant’s billhook and it was used by the armies of Austria and France and the infantry in north Italy from the early 15th century until the second half of the 16th century. Afterwards the corseque became a parade weapon. It was named after the island of Corsica from where it is believed to have originated. The corseque prototype is the Friulian Spear. This is a weapon with three blades of which the mid-blade was longer and the side blades shorter, having sharper tips called nails (ungie).
